May 3, 2009!
“I am so proud that we are able to celebrate our 5th year
of offering the road race," says
race director Paula Boermeester. "It has been my goal to add
to the race each year to make
it a true community event while being a successful fundraiser for
the BEF. Exercise and
Education just go hand in hand. There's no better way to BE Fit!"

Says High School art teacher, George Ratkevich, “I posed it
as a contest. I told the students a prize had been mentioned, but
did not have any idea of what that prize would be. I required all
my seniors in the Graphic Design classes to participate, as it became
a lesson.” said Ratkevich. Each student will be recognized
by the BEF as a STAR student for their logo submission with a prize
going to the “winner”.

Thanks from BEF to all the students for their great work! It was
truly hard to pick a winner, as all were excellent!
